Mitchell (he/him) graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters degree in Podiatric Practice. He also has completed his Masters in Sports Medicine & is our resident Sports Podiatrist.
Mitch runs comprehensive Sports Podiatry/Biomechanical consultations at our Podiatry clinic in Thornbury. These extended appointments include full biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, and evaluation for custom foot orthoses. Ideal for complex, persistent, or sports-related foot and ankle conditions. He has a keen interest in the biomechanics of Podiatry, with expertise in orthotic management and thrives in assessing, diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries as well as implementing exercise-based rehabilitation programs. He has developed a strong understanding of the demands exercise places on the lower limbs and the importance of injury prevention, rehabilitation and strives to work closely with all of his patients in achieving their unique lifestyle goals. He is particularly experienced with active individuals and athletes with lower limb pain and can incorporate the use of shockwave therapy in his treatment to alleviate this. Additionally, Mitch is also experienced in nail care and general podiatry on the whole, with the ability to undertake partial nail avulsion toe surgeries to effectively treat ingrown toenails.
Overall, he is dedicated to developing his podiatric-based skills and knowledge through his ongoing attendance at conferences and professional development events, which enables him to consistently provide the latest evidence-based management.
Outside of the clinic, Mitch loves keeping active and currently plays with the local VFL team, Coburg Lions!

Mitch’s favourite part of Podiatry is being able to help people get back to moving “pain free”. 🥳 Anyone who’s ever experienced pain or any injury in their feet knows how much of an impact it has on your quality of life, so being able to help speed this process up is something he really enjoys. Mitch strives to work closely with all his patients in achieving their unique lifestyle & fitness goals. 🙌

Outside of the clinic, Mitch plays football semi-professionally with the VFL Team Coburg Lions! 🦁This takes up a considerable amount of his time outside of work. Outside of Footy, Mitch loves spending time at his newly built home with his partner 🥰🏡
