Kristy founded & opened Talaria – Podiatrist of Thornbury in 2017 with the vision to create a welcoming, progressive & modern clinic, that her family can be a part of. Their love helped create the clinic – from husband Simon & brother Frank helping with the renovations & clinic fit out, to mother Anna working on Reception & father Con popping in & assisting with jobs, to daughter Alannah bringing joy & love. Kristy is beyond grateful for all their input & couldn’t have taken on this clinic without them. This family orientated environment has helped shape the clinic ethos – to treat our patients like family. Our patients care comes first & we are here to treat people to the best of our ability. 👪
Kristy loves her team and believes they “bring out the best of me”. Kristy is very nurturing of her staff, and is so grateful to have a team that share her values. “Together we are building something special where everyone can receive the best possible & honest foot care – and we are lucky enough to enjoy the journey along the way!”. This is what makes the Talaria family like no other, and helps Kristy get through tough times.🫂
Kristy likes to be thorough & leave no stone unturned. “Generally, foot pain & issues are happening for a reason, and I like to help my patients find out why, and do everything I can to help them with this”. She has worked in the profession for an extended period and is an all-rounder, but particularly has extensive knowledge in General Podiatry. She is passionate about treating patients from all age groups & walks of life, and makes patients comfortable with her kind nature. 🤍
Kristy likes to treat every patient as if they are her family & will do her very best to do everything to help her patients with their feet. “My favourite part of my job is 100% my patients. I love coming into work & helping people with their feet but also getting to know them over the years & seeing their families grow. And helping them through all the foot issues the different stages of life bring… there are patients who I have known longer than Simon 🤣”, Kristy said.
Kristy truly values the relationship she builds with patients & loves their chats while she treats them 🥰. She highly values referrals & is so grateful for them. She says it is always the highest compliment when someone is happy and refers their family or friend in to see us.🙏
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science from University of Melbourne & a Bachelor of Podiatry from La Trobe University, Kristy is extremely experienced. To add to that experience, Kristy had a vision to make the clinic feel warm & welcoming, so people are comfortable and receive the best treatment possible. “I did not want an atmosphere that was cold and too clinical & hope that warmth comes through in our space, and with the treatment given. Everyone and every issue is welcome & we will try our best to help everyone have the best feet possible, and tailor treatments to each individuals needs!” she said. When people walk in, they always comment on how wonderful the space is, and when they leave always comment on what wonderful people Kristy and her team are. The heart Kristy puts into her clinic truly shines. ✨
Creating a modern & community focussed clinic was essential in Kristy’s vision, and Thornbury felt like the perfect area to make this dream a reality. Kristy grew up in the Northern suburbs & is a “Northern suburbs girl by heart”, and spent her younger years frequenting the Thornbury area so truly knows & understands it. She loves the it here, especially our little pocket of businesses on the “coolest street in the world”, where the its always vibrant with amazing neighbours and regular visitors. Kristy loves chatting to other business owners during the good & bad times, where everyone always comes together. Kristy has really valued the support our friends give us, especially from day one, like Umbertos Espresso Bar , Lords of the North Barber , Spiro Koutsis Pharmacy and Muna Osteo & Wellness . She also loves meeting the people from new businesses that pop up, supporting them where she can & building new relationships. “Our door is always open for a chat and I’m always down the rd chatting to someone too 🤣”, she said. Kristy is also always buying Casa Nata tarts for friends that live further away, and recently enjoyed drinks& tapas at Peaches Wine Bar which she loved! Plus she “just might be sneaking in next door at Blackhearts & Sparrows Wine on the way home on Fridays…🤣”.
Kristy has had clients from many Eras of her life, and it makes her quite emotional to think about it. She had this to say to you all…
“I am so so so grateful and it’s makes me very emotional that I have been lucky enough to receive this support…I would not have been able to do this without the amazing loyalty & support I have received over the years. I am so lucky that families of people I went to Primary School and High School with think of me and come to see me. Family & friends who travel far to see me, friends who bring their kids down from NSW to see me, my Melbourne Uni and LaTrobe Uni friends who refer to me, my Greek dancing friends & the Greek community in general who have always supported me… I thank everyone from all the stages of my life from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with their feet & supporting me over the years… this means everything to me and I would not have made it through the tough times without you all. So Thankyou to all 🥰. And such a bonus that we get to keep in contact & share life stories in this way it is very special to me to have these relationships. I hope to keep doing it for many more years and meet the new generations of the families I already treat” ❤❤❤
