At Talaria Podiatrist of Thornbury the health and wellness of our patients and employees is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and stay updated on the official information provided by the Australian Department of Health.
As Podiatrists we have been well educated on infection control from our university days and we already employ strict and thorough infection control procedures in our clinic for your safety.
All instruments are hospital grade sterilized and patient chairs are thoroughly wiped down with hospital grade alcohol disinfectant in between patients. We use disposable gloves and masks for each patient.
However, amongst the current chaos we would like to further ensure the health and safety of our patients by implementing the following:
▪️ We ask you to PLEASE kindly reschedule your appointment if:
(a) you have cold or flu like symptoms;
(b) you have been on an aeroplane in the last 14 days;
(c) you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus in the last 14 days.
▪️ There are alcohol-based hand sanitisers provided in our waiting room for your use before and after your appointment
▪️ Please kindly cover your mouth while coughing or sneezing and dispose of tissues in the bin and then use our alcohol-based hand sanitizer
▪️ We have increased the frequency of our current hygiene practices including disinfection of desk tops, light switches, doorknobs, eftpos machine that are used by clients. All toys and magazine have been removed.
▪️ We have implemented our Podiatrists wear disposable aprons and also apply a disposable cover to the headrest as a further measure.
▪️ We are making sure social distancing is occurring in the waiting room and clinic ensuring there is no more than 10 people present at any one time and that there is more than 4 square meter radius for every person. The clinic itself is 90 square meters meaning it can safely hold 20+ people.
