Wonder what your first pair of Archies feels like? Our Receptionist & Social Media/Marketing Manager Justin got his first pair of Archies Thongs last Summer & he is here to tell us how he found them below!
Hey, I’m Justin and I joined Talaria Podiatrist in Thornbury in May 2024! As well as reception work, I run our social media pages like Instagram & also do our marketing.
Now, I am a beach & summer lover through & through. But I’ve sadly always gotten blisters and sore in between my toes wearing cheap thongs or Havianas that I sorta gave up on thongs. That was until I found Archies Thongs at Talaria Podiatrist in Thornbury!
Not only is there the benefit of arch support, custom moulding fit to your foot & great fit – I’ve not had a blister or pain in between my toes since!
They’ve got proper arch support built in (not flat like most thongs), which I think is the big difference.
I have spent full days at the beach. I have walked 1 hour from Clifton Hill to Thornbury window shopping on a hot summers day. I have done bush walks through central Victoria. I’ve worn them all day long. They also came in handy when I had a sore on my ankle and a small foot wart, meaning I could wear Archies Thongs all day & not have my shoes rubbing against them. All of these occasions I’ve worn my Archies the whole time and had no issues – only comfort & breathability.
And get this, after all that – NOT A SINGLE BREAK OR THONG STRAP POPPING OUT!
The one-piece design means there’s no dodgy plug or strap to give way.
Which is something else I love – TMI but I get sweaty feet and have struggled with tinea over the years in summer weather – this gives me the freedom to get around without warm enclosed shoes.
Now when it came to colour choice I was spoilt for choice – I was going to be boring old but trusty black, or should I brighten it up with Sky Blue? Ultimately, by some luck my brain put the two together and spotted the NAVY pair – an oh am I happy with my choice! Just the best colour for my skin tone, goes with any outfit but feels a bit more unique than a black pair (no shame for black pair, honestly I plan to get one, they’re so handy – the darker pairs are easier to keep looking clean).
That’s something I love about Archies – there’s a colour and style to match anyone’s unique personality!
If you are thinking of getting a pair of Archies Thongs or Slides I can’t recommend them any more!!! Ditch the Havianas, they’re flat, hurt, break and are bad for your feet!
You don’t have to scrunch your toes to keep Archies on – they actually stay put.
I’ve gotten pairs for my sister and mother as well. They make a great gift idea!
